I broke my 1G-GTE crankshaft pulley while trying to pull the pulley of using a gear puller. Stupid mistake...It can still be used, but the car shakes a lot at idle. Now I'm looking for a replacement pulley. Since a loose 1G-GTE engine (lotsa front cuts here but no loose engine) is hard to find I would like to know if i could use crank pulley of a 1G-GE or 1JZ-GE, 1JZ-GTE or 2JZ. Thanks in advance.

You will definitely need a pulley from a G series engine. A 1G-GE should be fine though.

thanks norbie...I managed to find a replacement pulley of another 1G-GTE at the junkyarad....it took three grease monkeys to take of the pulley. Laughing and they almost gave-up until I asked them to used a gear puller.

by the way...I had the chance to compare the pulley to a pulley of a 7M-GE..looks similiar..but don't know it the timing marks (nothc on the pulley) are the same tho

the 7M pulley runs a 4 tooth belt where the 1G runs 3 tooth
