last friday night, raining hard, came round a right hander, wtf theres a bump in the road, no problem... foot down, steer into a nice long power slide... till wtf?? another bump, but this one's a freakin ditch!

flickski goes the back of my 1997 XR6 falcon...
f*cksi goes me... reaction time enuff to swear but that's it...
smackski goes my car into the nearest available tree...
airbags stink like heck...
left hand still on gearstick whilst hitting tree = triple spiral fractures to the 2nd metacarpal on the left hand...
9 hours in hospital and all too...

But I'm still here!

I'm a non-religious guy, otherwise I'd be praisin somethin...
I don't gamble, otherwise I'd have bought me a lottery ticket...

and hey, now at least I've got the reason to start on my corolla... Smile

Drive safe people, there are lots of people who'd miss you.

where do i start... Laughing

me, my brother and my father between us own more than 10 corollas... 6 of which are on the road and driven...

oldest is a 1975 or so 2door coupe - ke20 I think.
newest is 1986 or so.

we've got (from memory...)

1x ke20 2 door
2x ke25 2 door
1x ke30 4 door
5x ke55 4 door + 1 parts wreck
1x 1988 or so, fwd (haven't actually SEEN this one yet)

tried to buy a friend of a friend's ke10 the other day... he laughed at me as he laid a nice black line outside my house... Smile

I really like the old celicas - xa22/23's though, so that may be my alternative to the rollas.

Now that my shiny new car is off the road for a while, i may just have to make myself a shiney OLD car!!! *grIN*

9/97 Ford Falcon EL XR6... 119,746 km on the clock... 20:43 5/07/2002...

now with just a minor indentation...
umm... only fron the bumper to about an inch into the water cooler :/
hit the tree dead centre front though - the blue oval is just about straight, just it's pushed a foot further back than normal...

won't get the car back till the 31st... Sad
