I read in a mag that the middle year SW20 engine are better than the later engine cause of the regulation in america and something to do with pollution laws, so in the later model engine, they lowered the compression down.!!!!!!!!!
IS IT TRUE, WATS BETTER?????
the middle range engine has more horsepower than the later ones SW20

gen3 (post october '93) is the better motor to get. don't worry about us emissions stuff- it did not affect aus or jdm motors

From the first model they bought out which wa what 1989-90 yeh, till 1998, didnt they have the same engine (3SGE), but werent there 3 different versions in a way, that they had different compression's and differernt pollution kits on them or something......... I left my book at my shop, as soon as i get it ill right what it says!!!!!!
