Is there any difference between the AE71 and AE86 T50 gearboxes?

Long Answer

There doesn't appear to be any difference. I've been running one in my AE-86 for about 3 months, bolts straight in, identical in every way as far as I can see. Maybe the little gear that drives the speedo is different but that just depends on the diff in the
AE-71 to start with.
