I bought this on Saturday 12/6/2004.

***MODS***

4AGZE
Microtech Digi-1
FMIC
3" Exhaust Cool
Custom interior trim
K&N Pod filter Cool
Celica 5 speed
Corona diff
Tiger mica paint
5" tachometer Cool

Cool denotes a mod done by me

These pics here are from when I first bought it. Since then I have changed the air filter and exhaust, removed the blow off valve, bracketed the throttle body and intercooler piping, changed the fulli sik plates, moved the boost gauge and cleaned up fuel/brake lines.

It goes alright, it has a 4AGZE, FMIC, Microtech computer and a decent sized exhaust. It badly needs a wash, which it will get tomorrow.

It has a Microtech Digi-1.

I changed the number plates today to standard yellow ones so as not to be too conspicuous Smile. Had the cops all over me the other night...

kickarse ride Cool ,

that story is dodgy as, the more i hear of modified cars getting targetted the more i lose respect for police, even when the car is engineered

The cops made me feel pretty bad about the car that night, but seeing and driving it the next morning sorted that out Wink

I think I might be getting some belt slip, as there is a squealing sound, air leaking sound and a drop in boost of around 5-6 psi at the higher end of my rev-range. Getting a tune on Monday so they can fix it up then. Hopefully it will make a fair bit of difference to the performance Smile

thats bullshit
i hate cops like that
i've had them try telling me that the 5m-e in my supra is a non standard engine as "those cars only came out with turbo 4 cylinders" Rolling Eyes

if you think your belts are slipping, check the tension of them, if you feel they're too lose tighten them Smile or if you're lazy like me, get some belt grip(its in a aerosole can) and spray the bottom of the belts and pulley's until you can be arsed doing something proper about it)

btw, nice ride Smile

the supergharger belt has to be exceptionally tight. Mine used to slip at high revs and I thought it was already tight enough. But I tightened them further and it stopped squeeling

Took it to my mechanic yesterday, and he said that it has had a very dodgy engine conversion. There were quite a few small problems with it. He has fixed most of them, but he said he will need a few days to get it all up to scratch. Part of the engine pipe was cracked all the way around, and it was making a fair bit of noise, so obviously it would have been a waste of time tuning it. I've just dropped the car to Variflo to get extractors, 3" exhaust and a new muffler. He said he will need the car for up to a week, as he fabricates all components himself. Once that is done I will be putting it back in to the mechanic to be finished off and tuned. Can't wait to get it back. The guy from Variflo dropped me back at work in a brand new SS ute that had just had a dual 3" system put in, sounded tough as nails.

Nicely done...

Personally I would change the wheels over. Nothing to over the top but some nice simple alloys would complement the rest of the car eg FR's. Wider tyres wouldnt hurt either with the 4agze! That is unless you want to keep the sleeper look about it. Then again i think u lost that with the tiger mica paint job.

yes I will be changing the wheels shortly as I find the car understeers quite a bit on the way into corners, and oversteers quite a bit on the way out of them.

*EDIT*

I suppose that oversteer is fun, but still no good for going fast

They are all the pics I have of it at the moment, my digital camera is broken so I'll have to wait for it to come back.

Going to pick it up now with the 3" exhaust, but have to drive it straight to my mechanic where it will be until probably Friday getting stuff sorted out. If all goes to plan it will get on the dyno on Sunday Smile

Yeah at the moment looking good to go.
I'm gonna call the mechanic later on and see how it's going.

I told them that I have to go to a dyno day on Sunday, and he said it shouldn't be a problem. I have to get some new tyres too, my rears are a tad bald for some reason Wink
