hey all,
hey just at a auction, my mate bought a ke30 front cut for 4$ with a 13T-U engine in it. just wondering what car they were out of. and do they go hard. any help would be appriciated.

4$ hehe not bad,

They are teh same as the 3T engines afaik, although they are import ones

I guess they would go as hard as a 3t (which isnt hard) Wink

Actually it's not the same as the 3T. The 12T and 13T are the light commercial versions of the 2T and 3T respectively. Expect it to be down on power but it should have excellent low-rpm torque.

Hey guys I'm the dude who bought the engine we're all talking about.
someone I was talking to said that the 13T series has a differant crank and con rods to the 3T ant thoughts?

also what sort of power would I be getting with all the emmision gear removed and the power steering gear disconected?

the 13T-U is basically a 3t but it's a "Lean burn" engine.
the chambers and pistons arent the same as a 3T.
Rumored to have stonger rods by the Peurto Rican guys.
The chamber actually has 2 chambers. One large and 1 small.
the sprak plug ignites both chambers. the small chambers flame front is aimed right into the large chamber. Its like having a flame for a spark plug. And the 13T's are the highest rated power T series engine except for twin cammers. HTH

Makes sence, i always wondered why toyota would make 2 engines the same with different designations Smile

i have one in mine, compared to driving a ta22 with a 3t the 3t seems a lot freer flowing at higher revs, 13t better torque at low revs, so basically what is said above.

but it's nothing special, mine is going out soon to be replaced by a 2tg

hey guys just a little update. got a mate's xb ute and a car trailer he towed it out to our farm. so there it rests until we figure out what to do with it!
