For those R32/300ZX brake on AE86/RAxx Qs? Wed, 23 June 2004 01:30 Go to next message
Hello, I realise this topic of R32/300zx calipers on AE86 and early Celica's has been covered in bits n pieces before but had a specific question in regards to it.

Has anyone sucessfully used the existing hubs and machined them down for the nissan rotor to fit over the top of them? How much metal did you need to take away from the hub? Is a safe amount left?

Thanks
Joel

Yup, done a couple of sets of these now. Not too hard, plus I also shrink a proper sized centre to fit the rotor/entend into the wheel on the hub. If you want some help with them, let me know Cool

Cool, I was thinking of using either the RA28 hub or XT130 hub which would mount the rotor outbound more (I think the hub face where the wheel mounts on is 8mm further out than the RA item).

So by saying you'd help, I could pay you to machine the hub and centre sleeve?

Cheers
Joel

I might consider it Evil or Very Mad Either get your hubs, or let me know what ones you plan on using (I may have some in my scrap pile, or could get some from Pinch-a-Part)

I have been considering this too....

My main concern is i've spent ages trying to get rid of bump steer with different length knuckles and RCAs etc..

If I convert now to S13 front end I reckon i'll be back at square one.

Plus it'll probably cost a lot more to buy Nissan struts and the bits to fit them Evil or Very Mad
