You are correct, they would be 4 x 100.

This is determined by the distance in mm from centre to centre, either across or next to studs.

I hope that made sense Rolling Eyes

Cheers Norm.

A word of advice.

check more than just the stud pattern. Offset is important from a practical, legal and safety perspective.
For example 45mm offset will not fit on your car (assuming you have an ae92SX). I know this because they don't fit on my car (16" x 7).

take it easy,
Monty

The offset is stamped on the inside of the rim. As far as I know it is the distance from the mounting face of the wheel (the face that sits against the disc) to the centerline (when seen from above) of the wheel. Different manufacturers use different offsets. I bought wheels from a 3rd gen crx and despite the owners assurance that they would fit my car they actually rub on the suspension struts. You can solve this with spacers but these are illegal and have led to wheels falling off.
I've heard of rollas going around with 17"s (after having guards lipped or pumped out) but not every set of 17"s will fit a rolla - regardless of whether they have the same stud pattern.

Cheers,
Monty

PS - anybody want to buy some 16"s that don't fit an ae92 rolla?

I had 17 x 7's on my AE82 hatch, and one of my mates has them on his AE92.

Just try one wheel on there and see if it hits anything, the main thing to check is the bottom of the rear spring holder, my 17's just cleared on the back of my car.

Cheers Norm.

From memory the offset is +38mm
I could be wrong. Have a look at the back of a stock toyota alloy and it will be stamped on.

As for wheels falling off - I was only suggesting that that was a possibility if you use wheel spacers. Spacers can put more load on wheel bolts and allow movement and fatigue and so lead to three wheeled cars...

take it easy,
Monty
