Heya Pasi,
i ordered some manuals form the US in the hope of getting one but no luck so far..

the Chiltons manual didn't even have electrical diagrams or 4KE info..

the Clymer (A194) manual for 'toyota corolla 1968-1983' manual has 4KE info, but only had a diagram taped in the back for a 1979 corolla. i think if you could get one with a diagram for a 1983 car, might be ok?

these two were about US$10 incl postage.

i'll see if i can find links to them

OK. just opened the ECU and pinouts were labeled into the board.
so now i know something..
can someone give me a UK,US,DE or some country toyota info mail, that this engine type has been imported?

in here they dont seem to know anything only from has been imported.

it's unbelievably hard to find anything relating 4K-E Sad

Pasi

it never made it to australia, but in the US and canada, the 4K-E came out in starlets, i believe from 1980-1983. mine came from a 1983 starlet.

newzealand has also had some of them, but they tend to get a lot of japan imports.

i imagine it was also available in japan, but never in Aus Sad

i am not sure about corolla models tho?

Do you have original wiring loom or only pieces?

and how about air temp sensor?
There don't seem to be any connector where sensor could go..
also i have some emission control relay in my sniped wiring loom. at least two afm wires go through it.

It seems that 4K-EU wiring in something between 2T-GEU and 4A-GE..
I have solved injector, TPS, fuel pump,AFM, Temp and cold start injector wirings by reading both 2T and 4A wirings.. And trying to go pass those stupid emission wirings.

Some day it will start... Wink

Hi Pasi,
i didn't get any diagrams with my setup, but i was led to believe that the ECU was similar or same as the early 2TG ECU's (with AFM).

on the 1979 corolla wiring diagram i have, it shows an 'emission computer' but no EFI.. i could scan that part of the diagram for you if you like?
good luck!

It surer is not same as the 2T-GEU ecu according to this wiring diagram i have for it..
no speed sensor, no oxygen sensor, different ballast resistor wiring, etc. and i dont think 2T-GEU had fault memory or emission control inside ECU Wink
4K has test socket and "check engine" lamp.. let's see how it flashes.

Try http://forums.toyspeed.org.nz/index.php. They may be able to help out with the 4KE diagrams. We got them here in Jap import Starlets.

Couple a weeks as an daily driver again and running like little angel Smile

It was something between 4a-ge and le-jetronic.. i used about 5 different wiring diagrams to solve the wiring disaster, but it worked nicely Smile

I needs still some work, but now it looks like this:
