Hey boys and girls, I'd love to start investigating colours for MA61's, and thought it would be tops if ppl could post up pics of supras with nice/different/exciting paint. So fire away!
Cheers

Yellow looks whack, dunno about the bottom one either...nice wheels though.
Black is the shitnitz, if you can find one in good condition. Getting a good black paint job on them would be $$$

My '83 bought in '86. Went to the wreckers in '98. Running great, but too much rust to bother with.
Shown stock, soon added an Ansa exhaust and 16x8 mesh rims/tyres (as on '84). My car in high school.
My '84 bought in '90.
Ansa exhaust, TRD header (Thorely),K&N filter and 16x8 wheels/tyres. Gave it away in '99 after removing the above parts. The 5MGE had a broken rod and hole in the block. New owner put in another engine and drove it.
My '85 bought in '87. One year after getting the '83. Stored most of it's life and still rarely driven.
As driven now. The 16s from my '83 and later '84 rebuilt to 17s. Car is stock, but lots of new parts piling up in the house. Including a brand new 7MGTE short block from Toyota.
Shown with 19s I have new stored in the garage.

hehe love it norbie, but I was thinking about going for the "not a raving homosexual look"
Yeah the malloy supra does look quite nice! (tho I was hoping to go for a lighter colour so that when I attempt to spray it, it might actually look ok :S (darker colours are much harder from what I hear!)
Urhg that yellow doesn't do it for me either, and I'm also not a huge fan of red hehe.

Michael
I only have the Royal Red '85 now, others gone long ago as stated.
Wilbo
There was one colour that was offered only in '84 here in North America that I really like. 2P3. Never owned one, but a member on cs.com has one.
It looks so nice.
I just realised that every MA61 I've seen from Australia has the large upper sun shade that we had here in North America from '82 thru '84. What did you guys get in '85 and '86? Was it like our '85 and '86? It seems I only see '84s were '82 to '83s and '85 to '86s sold down there also?

Every Aus-delivered MA61 I've seen had the upper sunshade, including 85's (never seen an 86). We didn't get those ugly lower spoilers though (thank God ).

Golly, no idea on the sun shades (I'm only new to the supra clan, might take me a while to get up to speed with all the intricacies!
BTW I do absolutely love that colour scheme (tho I'd personllay like to find something I like that isn't two tone to start with!).
Anyone got pics of more custom paint jobs? Not just the stock colour options? Maybe some blues?
Cheers

Two tone here was 85+ and got the woven (non stripey) interior.
Good luck finding a two tone one here anyway!
That silver two tone is hot, plain old silver is ghey.
i thought you wanted something original.
Just go with tax accountant white if you don't rate the black or two tone.

Another stock colour and another cs.com member. I really think this car looks sharp. It's an '83 with 17" Simmons.
It just looks right.

youve seen my car... you really want to try and rub shoulders with me for a corner? we must protect that precious paint of yours
then again, if i were a gentleman, i wouldnt let things get to the point of having to work a corner, id just get in front and stay there, and put you away quickly... risk free for everyone really

not only do the car+wheels look cool - but the background scenery has got me wondering why i'm not in Queenstown NZ drinking (and occaisionally ski-ing) myself stupid...
pine trees, snow on the gound, heated bedrrom, sauna, brisk cool air outside ... jeesh... just what i want for the looming summer - not hot cars, no aircon and peak hour traffic...
(sorry for hijacking your post Wilbo, ... but the pic inspired me)
Charles.

lol tis ok charles! It wasn't a very focused thread to start with! Hijack away!
Thats a pretty nice colour, not bad at all!
I saw a dang nice Mercedes (e230) yesterday in a rather light metallic green that I quite fancied!
And yeah how come no one has gone for the light blue you see fords and whatnot around in these days? I'm not sure if it would just look tacky! So someone either photoshop it or paint their MA61 already
Cheers
