Wiring up RAZO turbo timer Fri, 24 May 2002 07:18 Go to next message
G'day all,

I was wondering if anyone could help me with the wiring on a razo turbo timer. i bought it second hand, no manual.
It has 6 wires, 3 of which go to the ig barrel(red, green & blue). also a smaller red and black which i assume is power and earth. and a small yellow- maybe hand brake???

If anyone has one of these timers or can help me it would be greatly appreciated

Stew

Hey dude, i got a similar question, involving an hks digital turbo timer.
Its got the usual three ignition wires, then its got two thinner wires, one black and one grey.
I was wondering if anyone had any idea what the black and grey wires do and where i should connect them to.

Cheers

Matt

TOY77,

I have a brand new Razo turbo timer with Japanese instructions.
I can't make out any of the text, but there is a wire that does go to the handbrake.

Okay guys, got it worked out... sorry it's a little late TOY77.

3 wires to the ignition you have correct.
The other smaller red and black are:

Black - Earth
Red - Handbrake
Yellow - 12V output only when ACC/ON. I guess this is to power other gauges that only come on when the car is on.

Give me until the weekend, and I'll have a look under the dash. Hopefully I'll be able to suss it out without pulling too much apart.

No worries,

I really appreciate this. i thought it would be easy to figure out, i spent two hours the other day with a power source and touch light.... no luck. i could get it to light up, but not actually work.
