ST204 shockers into an AE-86? Mon, 18 October 2004 06:40 Go to next message
I have fitted some KYB AGX 8-way adjustable shockers to the rear of my sprinter and I want some for my front however they only make shocks for the ST204 GT4 celica. Will these fit the front struts of my AE86? what has to be done to modify the strut to run these?

Hey sorry to dig up old thread.. But do you know the part number of your rear AGX shocks? As KYB don't list a part number for AE86 shocks in the AGX range.

Their tech support is no good either.

Thanks
Joel

not an old thread, your right there is no official AGX's available for the sprinters or your Celica. And yes your right the tech support is a waste of time. I used IRS Commodore shockers. They are almost identical, the difference is that they have a 40mm shorter stroke and that the bottom mount is different. Anyway I will do another thread on it with some pics.

Anyway the part number is: 743023

yeah thanks but I found out that one of the ST204 models had inserts and the only difference is that the entended length is a little longer. So I ordered them. They are a 4 way adjustable and I managed to get them for a very affordable price.

Thanks for this info Smile will be helpful..

I need to try and find rear shocks original length though as I actually moved the mounting points on the diff lower to keep the lowered springs captive.

Wonder if KYB make a AGX within a more similar length at the rear....
