stereomike's 1995 MkIV N/A Supra (UPDATED PHOTOS)

Yep. Bought it today, just gotta wait for my financer to get the papers to me, so I should have the car on Monday or Tuesday.
Anyway yeah, it's a 1995 Supra JZA80, N/A. I've copped a bit of shit for it not being Turbo, but what the hell. I couldn't buy a car through a private sale because all the finance guys I went to wanted me to go through a dealer (me not having a loan history and no guarantor made things pretty tough for me), so I think I still did alright. I'm not.. I dunno, turbo mad I guess. I know a lot of you guys - if not all of you - probably live and die by boost, but oh well. Them's the breaks!
So yeah. Pretty stock really, normal bodykit.. wheels are alright I guess, but I'll probably change them. Might fuck off the spoiler too, it's a bit too ricey for my tastes. Gotta put my Momo wheel on it too. Otherwise, I'm pretty happy! Was a good price too

19k on the road, which is pretty reasonable I thought - I'm no professional obviously - because carsales.com.au seemed to be listing private sale N/A Supras for around the same mark. Admittedly most of them were kitted up, but that's alright, I'm not into the over-the-top kits anyway.
But yeah, spoiler is coming off without a doubt.

That's not a bad price at all actually. What's the performance of hte NA Supra like? I've never been in / around a mk4 before, only ever mk3's

Well it's tough for me to say, because my experience with driving fast cars is pretty limited - keeping in mind I'm coming up from an ST162 hehe. To me though, it felt damn quick. It's not a light car by any stretch of the imagination, but it seems to have the power there. But like I said, I have very few reference points from which I can draw a decent comparison

The 162 will go to my brother, I'll ask him if he wants to sell the rims, and you can come around during the day sometime and have a proper look at them, see if you really want them

not bad price for a 1995..
anyway N/A they put out about 115kw at the wheels.. and are about the same speed as MY 162.. maybe fractionally faster
so what's that a low 9s 0-100 and low 15 1/4 mile??

Dunno Robbie.. The article I read (quoted in one of my posts above) seems to have pulled mid 6s for the 0-100kmh *shrug*
Either way, it's quicker than anything I'm used to whether it's 6s or 9s or anywhere between haha.

Hey thanks man, glad ya approve! I know it's not the most kickarse MkIV going around, it's not turbo, yada yada, but jeez. It's clean, it was well priced, it's fast enough to please me.. That's what matters!!
Cheers

and it's SEXY!!!
You don't have to race people in their 200sxs.. I mean you can just look them and know that you have a Supra, and they don't... end of discussion.
And leave them wondering if you are turbo or not... lol

Cheers guys
I picked it up yesterday morning, and I've pretty much been driving it nonstop since haha. Offering to drop friends off at their destination, taking the family for rides, driving out into the country, etc. Reckon I've spent about 120 bucks on PULP between yesterday and tonight!
Anyway yeah, it might not be turbo, but jesus. That is one quick car.

very nice...
as for performance side of things, ive driven a manual TT and a manual N/A...
the na went very hard, the g tech figures seem pretty accurate... but as for the TT, it was an absolute rocket... certainly felt like the 5 second 0-100kmh and mid-high 13 1/4.....
still, an NA jza80 rules

Any of you blokes know where I can get aftermarket and genuine parts for the MkIV? Wouldn't mind checking out some kits and such, plus I'd like to get new headlights

Hey nice buy... looks very clean.
Wheels suit it too.
You want a place to find aftermarket gizmos for the Gen IV, then www.modyourcar.com.au stocks a very large array of items for this car. Only downside is they're in Perth.
