Maybe try the bosh ones microtech sell Josh, Dont know how much they are.

Toyota coils are very good, the 7mgte ones are great. Low resistance on the primary which allows current to flow faster which is better for hi rpm spark because it continues to supply plenty of magnetic flux for the secondary to use.

But the 7mgte one's are wastespark, ie one coil for two cylinders.

If you want to run waste spark, Haltech sell a quad coil pack for $78. I reckon that's excellent value, since you will pay around $55 each for a single bosch coil. I used two packs on my 3TGTEU (8 plug 4 cylinder) and cant fault them.

Cheers

Phil

we use the LS1 comdomdore coil packs {1 for each pot} on our race engines and they handle well over 800hp with no problems and easy to get and cheap run with both motec and autronic.

it depends on what you want from the computer! if its a street car and your on a tight budget no, if the skys the limit give it to a mate and get a m800! with dash and a few sensors will only be $20k Smile. if for the street just get it tuned properly and forget it.

Yeah i'd send it into Microtech and get it upgraded. If you do it through Merve they probably wont charge him cause he's known Domonic for over 10years and he always helps Merve out.

Get the 4age base maps put in then get Merve to tune it up, he's genius with 4age's as you know.

I like the new firmware with the laptop programability, other bonus with the firmware upgrade i now have 4 positions on my eeprom instead of two.

If you send it down Monday i'm comming to Taree on Friday i could bring it back. Probably beter to do it through Merve though.

Kingmick, who make the coils for Holdens? i wouldn't want any of the injection or ignition parts off old push rod V8's. Smile

Just a little dig, Smile i'v got a Holden company car and it's barely Holden together after 60 thou on it.
