SAFC & RSM effectiveness on the 4AGZE Sat, 01 January 2005 12:40 Go to next message
Hi all,

Just posting up in regards to what people think and have encountered with the effectiveness of the APEXI RSM and the S-AFC (particularly the S-AFC) on the 4AGZE.

If anyone has it attached on their 4AGZE, can you give me some feedback, pro & cons and other expenditures that i may be looking at when getting one.

Cheers

hey E

a friend of mine got about 5-7 kw frm his SAFC. but not much point having one if ur engine is stock. wont get much improvement if not any at all.

isnt the RSM just a display thing? apart frm losing ur speed cut, does it actually improve performance?

Hey Ben,

I got the GTZ finally on the road. Come online and we'll arrange something.

Yeh, the RSM just monitors the Revs and Speed of the car and also other little fancy things like 0-100 & 0-400 times. At least it looses your factory speed cut.

Yeh, with modifications on the car having the S-AFC, what mods we talking?

Minor one; Exhaust, Air Filter etc.

Or more serious one like cams etc.?

unless you have a pulley kit, larger I/C or frontmount, cams or something else relatively serious, i dont think that the SAFC is necessary.

You could always go for an emanage....

myself i would only use one of these if i did something likely to increase power over 10-15%, and then it would have to do ignition timing as well.
