You realise your request and explanation are two different entities, and based on wheel offset? Track width is the distance between the mid point of the two wheels, and offset will affect that distance naturally.

ok from the sprinter handbook , page 119 , section b specs

length : 4180mm
overall width : 1625mm
overall height : 1335
wheelbase : 2400
front tread :1355
rear tread :1345

Now tread must be taken from the internally measurement of the wheels , since the front is 1410 disc face to face , rear 1400 drum to drum from memory .

But what has this got to do with ta022 ?

Rear is 1370 drum to drum, measured it up last night, thats why the Hilux diff fits.
1345 sounds too small, but makes sense because my car was 1407 give or take with the extra 50mm track.

Yeah i have so many measurements of this , i must have got lost . Maybe my measurement of 1400ish is the stock measurement from the outside of the wheels . Where Toyota take theres from is a mystery .

Toyota's measurement will be the track width, ie cetre of tread to centre of tread. For 99% of cars this is less than the hub face to hub face measurement as they use positive offset wheels (which means the centreline of the wheel is inwards from the mounting face). If the diff is 1370mm drum to drum, with +15 offset wheels the track will be 1340mm (as there are two wheels of course).

well ive been told that putting a lsd in my ta22 tseries diff will likely result in snapinh axles.

apparently ae86 have thicker/ stronger axles.

now i dont need to go the length of gseries conversion cause ill only be running a 4age but i want lsd as i plan to do some weekend drifting here and there once the car is built.

so my thoughts were tseries diff drum or disc from ae86 into my car.

bracket remounting is to be expected but i know a few welders so thats sweet.

so sizing sounds like it will work...hmmm.... and maybe a bit off a bigger dish will be allowed....nice.

any ideas if ae86 axles with a matching lsd will fit my housing?

Cheers
