The interior is not bad, carpet is good, dash was recovered 4 years ago and is still all good. Gray paint on plastic bits a bit scratched but still looks good. Door trims good. Front seats have black lamswool covers and the back seat is not great.

Just to clarify, the car is in sydney, it is still registered in melbourne though.
Had some second hand tyres put on on saturday, holds on much better now, also been tuned and getting much better Fuel ecconomy.
The rough price would be $1400. Can't sell until I've decided and lined up what will replace it.

Well i just crashed my MX-6 if i can/could get some cash together, and an easy way to get upto sydney from melbourne thats cheap without a car, (i aint bloody hitchhiking) i would buy it off ya tommorow pending a test drive etc

i'd acctually argue that unless your doing stuff offroad alot, or hauling a family around there's not many cars that can match this for practicality...
i've carried heaps in mine... had a friend, her cousin, her new TV and stereo, and it all fitted in.. was a bit like a chinese puzzle... but it did it...
chucked my mountain bike in the other day... had to twist the handle bars, but that's it, coulda got away with out that if i had put handle bars in first..

Oh yeah i know, i drove from Perth to Melbourne in my old RA28 (r.i.p. :~( ) fully loaded with all my worldly possesions. Enough wieght to drop the rear suspension down 8" and the petrol still cost me less than $300. Thats why i love em so much and really want another one. If you know of one availiable in vic PM me please.

Yes, I agree that the time I've had it I've move so much stuff with it I doubt I'll top it with any other car, (4 years traveling from melbourne to tassie with all my possesions) Thus why it has a towbar and custom roof racks. I've had no trouble getting mountain bikes in and have made good use of the side panels for storage.
However, everytime I've done a big trip I've seen it as nails in the coffin, and I don't like killing it, so I got something that I don't particuly care about and don't mind if it gets beeten up a bit.
I'd like to keep it and reco everything, however no time or space at the moment.
Anyway, that's enough of my drivel.
Depending on where in Vic I could posibly bring it back on my next vist to my folks.

Besides having to get blue, pink and green slips for the car, would there be additional costs in order to get compliance for the car, ie. anything to do with engine, brakes, body, etc?

I don't know how pedantic they are up here, but they would perhaps pick the bits of rust showing through. Apart from that there is nothing to obviously stop it being legal on the roads.

Ok, I need to seel it now, still regrettable sale, but I shouldn't keep hanging on to it. Yes it needs some cosmetic work but it's still sound car.
Still haven't received any offers so I'll lower the bar.
I will consider offers around $900 without rego, as I can't be bothered getting it changed to NSW.
oh, and it's got a brand new battery as of yesterday.
