3tgte timing

Just finished putting my head back on my 3tgteu after a blown head gasket,
got it back to the point now that it cranks over but wont start,
it cranks for 3 or 4 secs then turns over real slow like its struggling then back to regular cranking in a loop like this.
When I let off the key, it sounds like it wants to backfire but lets out a piss weak hiss.
Does this sound like a prob with spark timing from dizzy or somthing else.
I timed the cams and cranks off the mark 2nd mark on crank pully at TDC.
Any help will be appreciated, ive decided to retire for the night and get a fresh view on it tommorow after work.

aye, check for spark for a start, then check dizzy timing.
I think that is the cam timing is off so far, that there will be nasty valve-piston contact.
that thing is a pain.
dual rotor comfusion thing

I turned it over by hand 4 times first to check that valves were not hitting pistons.
Do people know why there are 2 timing marks on the crank pulley.
I am usin the one that is at top dead centre.
Im getting a timing light to this arvo to try solve this problem.

Problem Solved
Got a light onto it, the dizzy was 2 teeth out somehow so it was firing stupidly advanced.
Ive now got it firing on the second mark on the crank pulley witch im told is about 10 degrees.
Now ive just gotta replace a couple of gaskets on turbo and go get her tuned. Should be boostin up again soon.
