My 1966 Crown station wagon has a vinyl roof lining. Unfortunately, it's one owner smoked like a chimney, no doubt leading to his cardiac surgery and eventual sale of his prized possession.
My problem is that I need to get the unsightly yellow stains off the vinyl. I know some of you like to show your cars and was wondering if any of you had any helpful hints or pointers.
Cheers Dave.

Get the vinyl re done on the roof Dave... nothing else will get that stuff off (don't use armorall it only exagerates the stains)

Bug and tar remover gets a little bit of it off but nothing spectacular.

Actually there are a couple of things you could try - my Mum is the queen of household hints....

Lemon Juice 4 Parts, 2 Parts Warm Water, 1 Part Dawn Dishwashing Liquid (or similar)

Napisan diluted in warm water. Make a paste and place on a scourer and add water to wash over the areas.

White Vinegar diluted 4:1 with water and 1 cap of Liquid Bleach.

Regards

Thanks guys.
The idea of redoing the roof lining of a 4 metre long car isn't appealling!
Teenz, they sound like recipes out of a Martha Gardner's book! I will give those a bash - I'll try each one in a seperate spot and see which one works best.
Cheers Dave.
