22RE not sparking. Fri, 13 December 2002 23:28 Go to next message
Replaced the spark plugs but now theres no spark. The leads seem to be fine.

I did have the dash apart but just connected a speaker up to the radio.

It also has an alarm which i dont think works and well i dont have the key to the alarm box but maybe a immobiliser kicked in?

What could be the cause of this in the 22RE?

gday

i bet my life savings you have accidentally missed putting back a wiare which was earthed, this can cause a whole lot of different problems throughout the car, as the electrical circuit trys to ground itself somewhere else and runs into another circuit

i have a stackload of ra65 parts here if you run into trouble or if your in brisbane ill come over to give you a hand, i have a wiring diagram but its on paper

cheers a lot
wayne

fixed it.

the immobiliser kicked in somewho and was preventing the coil from operating so just cut it out and seemed to work fine.

thanx for the tip though.
