any brand within the specified weight/heat ratings for the weather.

Since autum is up GTX2/3 is fine 20-50W. For some maybe penrite I think they can go upto 60/70W

what is 20-50W ? mine one was 10W- 50W (It mention less wear to the engine)

so large W stands for hotter weather ?

well the magnatec that your using now is fine if your motor is in good condition. but i would assume that its pretty old and has some milage so you'd go with a thicker blend 15/20W.

but if it runs good they hey why not Very Happy

and yeah the larger range the oil can take

W is Winter (not Warm Wink )

lower number = thinner... but at room temp, 20 is actually thicker than 50 at operating temp....

pick your W number based on starting temp (20 is ok, 10 for neg temps), and then the bigger number based on engine wear. 40 for modern, 50 for normal, 60 for worn..

hows that for a short guide Razz
