Info on autos that bolt straigt up. do the old rwd autos bolt up(from japan or america)or do i have to get adaptor plate made up

OT but wouldnt a auto on a 20v defeat the purpose? i imagine the aus spec 101 rolla auto boxs would fit

I think he was suggesting that a 20V is a really revvy engine which would perform best with a manual trans.
By putting an auto on you'll find that it will be a little sluggish, unless its a tricked up auto.

Yes a 5 speed would be the best but because of my disability and RTA regulators I have to have an Auto.
So Iam still after an Auto to bolt straight up to the 20Valve
Maybe out of an early madel corrola or sprinter or import from japan. Any info????

some AE85's came out in auto, these are pretty much non-existant in aust, although new zealand got the AE85 you may be able to source a bellhousing from there, the AE85 came with a 3A engine.
i once recall someone on here claiming they had an auto behind a 3A but not sure who it was.

I know ae71's have them u may be able to find one at a wreckers they have the samebody shape as the ke70 but they are ae71's i know some of them came out in auto's but good luck.
