If it says "Infringement Not Registered" on the infringements.nsw.gov.au...
Does that mean they lost the paperwork and you don't have to pay/lost points?

Could be. Don't pay it and then wait for a month or however long they give you to pay it, then bout a week after that date they send you a late notice. If they send you a late notice, then i suggest paying it

You dont here in tassie, so i guess its the same everywhere. You could ask the RTA and they will be able to tell you

make sure you take a creen dump of the screen or error you got so that way if they hit you with additional fines for late payment you have something to fall back on.

I had the same thing. Got an infringement on 18th January, still haven't paid it, and still havent got a reminder 
*finger crossed it doesnt come in*

i had something similar happen to me. thought i got away with not paying then 6 months later when i went to replace my lost licences i found out it had been cancelled without notice 2 months earlier because of that fine. i didnt get any reminders or warning letters but there was no point complainin about it because thats what they always get told. so then i had to pay the fine, the extra costs for it being late and some other fee

 Wow that really sucks. I got pulled over for a random breath test on the labour day public holiday (about 10minths after the fine). Cops partner checked the license while he gave me the breathalyser (didnt drink anything) and everything was fine...
So i hope i dont get a nasty surprise when i renew my rego in january
