HELP please with custom panels?!

I have this idea in my head that I am going to take off my stock panels (from my st162), pull off the material and then fiberglass over the top and paint them up to a nice shiny finish.
I run into trouble however in deciding what to use?!
PLEASE HELP ME!
Would the best method be to just use body filler over the metal panel?
Or should I go all out and fiberglass the panels?

yeah sorry,
I am talking about the four 'door' panels that are usually covered in the same material as the stock seats... Im thinking of using the plastic panels to which they attatch as a mold to either go straight over with fibreglass or just bodyfiller (Seeing as they dont need strength really)?!??!

yeah?
if I use a real hard one, and prime/paint/gloss it... it should come up alright though?! and if its the exact shape of the mold its sitting on I imagine it would be quite difficult to damage?

If you are going to do that, fibreglass would be the only way to go. But really i wouldn't bother for a few reasons.
1. In summer it'll get that hot you won't be able to touch it.
2. If you are going to use the standard door cards, as a template, your doors will sound like a huge drum every time you open or shut the door.
3. The door speakers will sound like shit.
4. The fibreglass is still prone to cracking, flaking and serious scratches.

i take it you want to make fibreglass door trims...
you must be bored!
id go for vinyl over plywood with some padding or possibly metal trims, fibreglass is such a pain!
