found lots of info on what upgraded pistons, to run etc... but nothing about the actual nitty gritty of what has to be done to put a stock one together

take the pistons and crank out of the 3T.
Get one of your 2t pistons, and take that, and all four of your 3t pistons to a machine shop. Get them to machine the valve reliefs of the 3t pistons THE SAME as the 2t ones for valve clearance.
Bolt the 3t pistons and crank into the 2t block, bolt your 2tg head on top of that.
If you want the nitty gritty, send me a pm, i will help you as much as i can. Just that the forum has been clogged with HEAPS of 2t/3t procedure stuff. Im not an expert, but i can point you in the right direction at least coz ive done the modification myself. Btw, use the search function, and write down everything that could be helpful, read as many posts as you can, youll find it all falls in place Smile
Good luck dude.
