18" rims on TA22

I was just wondering if there were any engineers out there, or people who know what they are talking about, who could help me out with this little problem i have. I have some 18" rims on my TA22 which fit fine, however i would really like to have them "legal" so i was wondering what could be done to ensure their legality and enable me to get an engineer's certificate. I am also reluctant to drive around on them for much longer because i have been driving around with 17's for the last year or so and have now recently put these 18X7's on it and it has completely stock suspension, bar some king springs. I am just waiting for something to snap, and am actually quite surprised it has lasted this long. What i would like to know is what should i do suspension-wise to compensate for the larger wheels. Will RT130 Corona struts do the job? Also are the RT130 struts a straight bolt-in job or is there chopping involved? What needs to be done to the rear axle assembly? Can i put a shortened HiLux diff in the rear end that will enable me to engineer the 18's? Any help will be greatly appreaciated.
