I'm after some information regarding mods to a 1g-gze which is currently fitted in an RA23 Celica. I don't know a huge amount about these engines (I'm a 2TG man ), the car is a friends and he seems to be getting led up the garden path by a workshop who will remain nameless at the moment.
1. What boost pressure is a reliable amount on one of these
engines in internally standard trim with unknown k's?
2. How much boost did the HKS pulley kits give them?
It is fitted with Wolf3D ECU and standard injectors.
3. What sort of power will the standard injectors support?
4. Would I be correct in assuming that extractors would make a
sizable increase in power? I realise these would probably have
to be custom made.
The workshop is claiming that the engine will support 18psi with standard injectors, methonal injection and no intercooler.
