n0ve Occasional Poster Registered: July 2005	rust ... how to deal with it Mon, 08 August 2005 15:19 hey guys ive got an ae82 corolla sedan and its got a bit of rust on it. a few small spots have started to appear over the body work, mainly along the boot lid, rear panel, turret and the front pillars. i got quoted $1500 to get the boot lid, rear panel, and turret done at the local rust place. this is a bit steep for me and still doesnt cover the other spots of rusts. (its all surface rust at the moment.) so i am seeking a bit of help, i reckon i could do the prep work myself as in sand back the rust and treat it, and then tape up the areas to be resprayed by the panel beater. i would like for some info on the best way to treat the rust, and prepare the body for touch ups. cheers [Report message to a moderator]
