hey why would I need to drop the price if no one else is selling cheaper? if no one wants to buy it means there's no demand, and if someone is seriously interested they would post offers, but you go and try looking for a air conditioning setup for ANY car for $300! The compressor's worth more than that! Very Happy

Well not quite. It means that there is no demand at that price point.

I guess that is why most of the responses in this thread over the last few months say "bump"....

Still have no idea how supply and demand works do you

you have no idea do you? the man from Sweden.. Just because no one wants to buy it for $300, does it mean I have to drop the price although it's worth more than $300, yes I can sell it off for $100, I can also sell my house off for $100, but would I? would I need to?

You don't get many ae86 here in Australia, and even less ae86 with 4age 16v/20v/4agze/4agte, and even even less with such engine but without the air conditioning gear, and after all that you'll need a buyer that actually WANTS the air conditioning, or can physically fit the air conditioning gear in the car, you starting to get the picture? Or you still don't get it? These parts costed me money and a lot of time locating it, I'm not here for charity, I'm here to sell or in another word, recoup my cost, thank you for your free bump!

I'd love to, but unfortunately the rest becomes junk without the compressor and brackets... Smile so I'd prefer you take the lot (whole setup) and find a way to sell the rest that you don't need... Smile

dude, no amount of bumping is going to sell something that is clearly priced more than people here want to pay. FWIW I got $50 fora KE70 complete A/C setup on ebay. It's just not worth that much for second hand gear that may or may not be ok by the time you get it and install it.

oh, free bump. Razz

why? you have one. Razz
It doesn't matter what it's worth. Air conditioning costs over a grand to make new. What it's true worth is what someone is prepared to pay for it. That is pretty obviously not anyone here at the price you are asking.

But you keep bumping away toward the end of time hoping someone will change their mind or really really wants air conditioning in winter. A better option might be to either take one of those reasonable offers people have posted, or box it until summer when it might be worth a bit more, or try another venue to sell it, such as the trading post, ebay or the like.
Hope this helps. Smile

What you are asking is a fair price dude seeing its uncommon
Thing is most true AE86 owners Would rather derive themselves of being warm and comfortable and save the $300 (and weight) on improving the performance of the car

I tossed my full a/c setup right into the dumpster for that reason Razz
Someone will buy it as the weather gets colder
good luck

yeah you can run heater without air cond, but your car windows and windscreen will all get foggy if you have a passenger or more inside the car, unless you don't talk and try not to breath.. lol Very Happy esp. if outside is cold, that's when the air cond comes in to dehumid the place, not very likely T18 will be the same as ae86, and don't think they will have a 5 rib compressor either,

in my point of view air cond is a necessity in these days for safety reasons

was going to send the air conditioning and I think it weight around 10kg for the full kit, compressor and bracelet most heavy around 7kg, the condensor about 2kg, and the evaporator around 1kg I think, so what's 10kg got to do with the performance of your ae86? I think if you don't put on so much weight, it will save more than 10kg... Very Happy

yes, there's a difference, 4ac has a single rib belt compressor, and 4age has a 5 rib belt compressor, that's why I've got 2 compressors... one from/for each engine.. Very Happy

oh duh, it's an air conditioning system, not scrap metal! But I can assume your setup is some single rib system from the original 4ac engine anyway, but it's alright if you want to stir shit and tries to ruin other people's sale, it's quite understandable, after all it's an internet forum~
