P L E A S E :
Can you explain to Me the appeal of Gin?
|
for me i find thats its something different every now and then, and if u mix it with the right stuff, it can b nice (like tonic and lemon, or juice- i much prefer it over vodka- but everyone is different)
but i don't reccomend having a gin after a couple of beams or something....i found that i become suddenly really p1$$ed
and it has to be good gin (like tanqeray)

Just thought of a few more;
Charles Cimicy (sp?) Signature 1998 - bloody nice shiraz (was Signature before that, now called Autograph after a run-in with Yalumba's trade name police).
Henschkes Mt Edelstone Shiraz 1992
Centeneray Hill Shiraz 1997
Grant Burge Meshach and Shadrach - both a couple of beauties. Can't go past Grant Burge's Hillcot Merlot for an everyday drink.
Don't really understand everyone's fascination with spirits. It seems all cheap ones whiskies taste shit (Bells, Johnnie Red etc) and all expensive ones taste good. Not much chance of an undiscovered bargin there! (but I will drink rusty nails with dimple haig and drambuie all night if I'm not paying).

Think of it this way.
Bottle of Johnny Gold is $100.
20 drinks in a bottle means that each drink is $5.
That's equivalent to a $30 bottle of wine.
I'd much rather drink Johnny Gold than a $30 wine!
Each has their place though. I drink wine when eating and drink spirits when socialising.
