another one on the way home..
i was comming from bella vista becuase i dropped a friend home.. and some rice boy in a civic baged with Si-R sticker (lol rice isnt it? they dont have sir's here). i was turning right and he was turning right from the other lane.. he waited for me togo.. i left it in 2nd gear.. counting 2,3,4 just before t-vis was gonna kick in i kept the revs there.. he revved it and had about half a car length i revved it till about 5.5k all over i went to turn right he took the lane behind me.. and stayed behind i took the right lane.. and switched to the left clutched in and just revved it waited and he didnt reply
i saw him again later on.. i took a left and went the short cut way.. he was on comming on the round about and i was down shifting from 4th,3rd,2th clutching in and revving again before he went past the roundabout.. he just drove slow and casualy so i left him alone
he gave up pretty easy ehehe

A mate of mine has a Datto 1600, imagine a car straight from the junk yard...thats about how it looks. He is a mechanic and has "tinkered" with it and has a massive turbo etc on it. I'm not sure exact specs but it has the goods. We (5 of us cramed into the Datto) were driving home from Brisbane after a big weekend on the drink and all tired when we were confronted on the h/way by a VS GTS Commodore. He was reving his engine and that and we weren't up for a race as we were all too tired but after a while we gave him a run. From a 60km/h rolling start we had him by around 2 car lenghts too about 180km/h then he started catching us. Not bad for a Datto from the junk yard (he actually payed $300 for it and that was a rip off) with 5 people in it VS a GTS with 1 person!!!

On the way back to work from a job today i pulled up beside a turbo 3 banner excel . Well just got my weber on the old corona so i though i would give him a go. Drop it at about 3 grand straight onto secondarys, 1 1/2 car lengths on him from the start and stayed there all the way to 100. should have seen the guy he was so pissed off that he got beat by a shitty old corona.

Thanks was pretty fun mate whoever you are
Lights at minchinbury/carlise ave. i didnt notice a seca.. till it took off.. so i go hmm ill step on the gas abit. caught up easily.
We keep playing.. just matching eachothers speed then backing off etc.. Next lights were red. I gave the thumbs up and smiled with the impression hey nice 92 but i can keep up with you no probs =p.
Lights go green he waits for me.. i got the headstart then he caught up.. i lost it.. wheelspun and no traction (crap suspension and wet roads GE+FWD) so he backed off and waited for me to catch up.. caught up and just gave up since i know im not gonna grip the road again and mightaswell back off before i do any damage or cause an accident.
top stuff mate whoever you are, i noticed you turned left at queen st. so your from st clair way?
see you around when the rounds are dry
on the other notes.. my car lost traction from the crappy suspension and only having me as load. while his car was packed i think? but yeah that was a good run with the thumbs up and no flames what a good start to the weekend =p

The title may sound like I think my car is "the bomb" but I don't. I drive a stock 91 mx83 cressida with 180k on the clock.
The reason behind the title is that noone has even bothered trying to run me from a set of lights before now (except a hilux once, but yeah)
The other night I was driving to work along Wanneroo Road headed towards Perth City when I pulled next to a dark blue EF falcon with a guy in his mid-20s driving. As I do from most lights I gave it a bit, and then so did he, so the next lights it was on.
One of his tyres squealed briefly on the green light and I had him by half a car through first and second up to ~90-100kph then backed off to ~120kph before i slowed back to the speed limit.
Only a minor victory, but with 1L and 4 years in favour of the EF, I'll take any small win I can.
I think Perth has a million people or so, making this occasion one in a million.
The next night along the same road another car was trying to play, but I didn't even bother...good thing too because there was a cop car at the same lights (obscure intersection so I didn't see it until further down the road).

Was on my way to KK via gwh-R
There was this mazda 323 1.8L next to me near aldi/hogs breathe who revved it. Gave it had the launch so he didnt bother.
Next set of lights just up abit.. i thought i'd give him a chance revved it didnt bother to look to my side. green, i crept infront a bit was able to see the side of the car. redline, 2nd pulled infront.. approaching end of 2nd and near the 80kms limit i backed off let go of the gas, see this holden wagon. guy smiled thumbs up and i turned left to kingswood maccas dissapointed becuase it wasnt the 323 astina
also munched a 100kw sx hatch (w/ exhaust) easily near kingswood uni campus though he was only changing at 5.5k/6k ( i did give it to about 6.5k) had no trouble boxing him or passing him anytime.
go the 82. and the mysterious bigport engine sitting in my car
its just 86kw fellas.. swear to god bro!

Ok, over the weekend I put my 1GGTE into my GZ10. I had the exhaust done and got some new plugs etc. during the week but last night I took it out to my friend's house and along the way I came up to a set of lights.I was kinda waiting for a worthy adversary to roll up but I gave up all hope just moments before the light was about to go green. Just then some Maori dude in a GT Legacy Wagon rolls up with his 18" chrome mags and boom sounds going. So I give my car a little tap on the throttle and on the green he launched hard. So he reached the end of first and I knew he was going for it so I just floored it and belted it into second. Boost came on and I ripped past him, got it into 3rd and hit 100km/h and backed off the throttle. Then once I had slowed down he decided to overtake me and rip off through a set off roundabouts.
A good slaying for my Soarer's first outing.
And now that I've run my engine back in after 6 months without use and using an air filter now...it's even more potent.

DRAG-->504 vs. MR Coupe
|
Wed, 10 September 2003 01:26

504, 1974 model, 2L, mechanical injection, pushrod heap of shit
MR Coupe, 2000 model, 1.8L, "16Valve", zorsted, clear tail lights (makes it go faster), lowered, 17 inch chromes (makes it go slower)
SO here I am stopped at the traffic lights one night on the way home from work, and who should pull up to me? One of the quys from work in his Lancer MR Coupe. I thought that this would be a good chance to see how Mr. Rice (as I like to call him) would go. SO we are sitting there at the traffic lights and I am in my dads 504 Peugeot (parts chaser) with a gazzilion k's on the clock and he starts revvvvving his motor. Hahaha, i thought you beauty its on now. So I stall the old girl up to about 3,000rpm (anyone who knows anything about peugeots or especially 504's will know that this is almost the max revs you take them too), lights go green and i dump it. We are off and ricing and to my suprise i am in front. Snap second gear in the old girl and i am still in front by a nose. Now this is where he starts to catch up and before i know it, i look down at the tacho and the bitch is screaming at 5,500. SO i change into third and all is lost...he starts pulling away and gives up. Damn it, i almost killed the old girl and i still lost. SH1T!!! Oh well, always next time

any way , any one know of a guy in a light green corolla (KE i think)....the thing is that i was by my self (gti stock 4AGE) and he had a couple of passengers and we were basically neck to neck until we hit a corner where i think he backed off (i love corners[until i fuck up] because i'm toooo slow on the straight)
if any one knows him get him to PM me i want anotherr run.
the story is we were lined up at the lights on elisabeth drive (the light befor maccas, headed towards livo), me out side lane (closest to the footpath)he in side lane(some one in the middle(dont matter)
light goes green i didnt really want to go then i hear his loud exhaust going so i say fuck it (my car at this stage is doing 2000-2500rpm in first, anybody who owns a 4age knows that the car at this point does not go for shit!!!) i still hear him as i build up revs......up to 7000rpm befor i slam it into 2nd at 6500rpm (nice screech) kept going up the hill into a slight left hander, now in third doing about 115-120, dont hear him. now want a proper run!
any help finding him appreciated.

Last evening I was out for a little cruise around the area in my Ute (I know it isn't a Toyota ) I was turning right off Old Windsor rd onto Sunnyholt rd. when I noticed passenger in the car behind me car behind me was pointing at the back of my car. I realised they we looking at the HDT Enhanced & 300si stickers on the back (leaving me wishing 300 was accurate) lights went green and I went around the corner he followed and pulled up next to me and we stopped at the next set of lights, to my surprise it was another Ute same colour (cosmo), SS lowered, Chrome mags, rather nice looking in a bogan ute sorta way. we took off checking out each others cars an pulled up at the next set of lights. He took off ahead of me and I powered to sit next to him and he decided to gun it in 1st. By the time I reacted and punched it I was level with is rear bumper. He jambed into second spun wheels and the arse went out about half a foot sideways, Half a second later I did the same thing. Wound out second and pulled up level to him and I slotted into third about half a second after him and twirped third and kicked a little side ways and pushed a little more then backed off level pegged. Was prolly one of the best runs I've ever had (where I havn't been thrashed or I shat all over them) I pulled up next to him and he was lauging gave me the thumbs up (as did I) and we continued on our ways.
Now I want my Celica Back

Was on the way home just now, and on the way this Commodore driver pulls out in front of me, loses the back end (it's very wet) and corrects under power. I thought "I wonder if this guy wants to play?" so I went for it at the lights (I have a shitbox, but I like to see if people bite). He didn't. Okay. Then I am doing the speed limit (80) and about 1km down the road he decides he wants to be ahead of me, so speeds past me at about 100.
Further down the road, after a few sets of lights I have driven on ahead. As I go under the freeway, he comes speeding past me. I see two cars comming off the freeway exit ramp and think "I hope neither of those are cops". The first car pulls in and merges, the second car pulls in behind me, blue and red lights flaring. Poor HSV guy gets pulled over.
I just had to share. It was funny, but I feel sorry for the guy.

Well, I had just purchased a 1990 Chaser 1ggte/5spd halfcut for my Hilux, I am happy, driving along at 60kph, dog in the back of the ute. Just about to get onto the motorway and do 100kph when all of a sudden it feels like I am driving over a cattle Grid, there was that much vibration that my dog could hardly stay on her feet. I hit the brakes and start puling over, at about 30kph I hear something like CLANG BANG CLANG CLANG BANG BANG, then I stop. Fearing the worst i get out and have a look under the ute, oh look theres the end of my tailshaft resting on the ground and oh wow look at those huge dents in my fuel tank. Upon further inspection I find a mangled snapped bolt (non-high tensile) hanging out of the flange where the tailshaft bolts to the diff. well i scrounge around in the cab of my ute and manage to find 3 bolts and nuts that kinda fitted, it was enough to limp the ute 3km down the road to my mates work were he was able to supply the appropriate bolts, cheers Shane .
I got the ute from my stepdad so i give him a call and ask when was the last time somoene would have unbolted that flange, seems it was 12 years ago when they replaced the diff.
So you see dodgy ass mechanical work may get you going for a while (maybe even 12 years), but damn imagine if it was 2 minutes later while I am on the motorway doing 100-110 kph in peak hour traffic.
/rant off.

Hey guys.
I own an AE93 sx seca, and in the past week i have had two encounters with other corollas which i thought might be of interest with some people on here.
One night last week, driving with 2 mates in my car i turn at an intersection and notice a small screech sound, so i take a look in the rear view and i see a silver ae101(i think...) corolla, P plater of course. He flogs it past me as best he can, and pulls up at the lights coming up in front of us.
Once i reach the lights, he wound down his window frantically and looks at me. I thought, wow this guy is pretty keen, but i let him go off on his merry way.
Next set of lights, guess who is sitting there waiting for me. This time i thought ah why not give him a go.
Lights go green, give it a bit too much at the launch and get mild wheel spin, anyway we are even through first (he didn't have any passengers), and he goes to shift into second when i hear this *pop* sound, followed by a hiss. He drops back from about half a car length to a few car legnths, and i notice a smell of radiator coolant!
A minute later, he comes charging past again, followed by that distinct odour yet again...
A few nights ago, i was stopped at a set of lights when up rolls a new silver corolla sportivo. I was on my own, and he had a single passenger with him. I looked over to him, and he looked pretty keen for a go. Lights go green, and i get a decent launch and we are neck and neck through first, and he starts to pull away from me towards the red line. I shift into second before him and get slight wheelspin, and i gain back even with him. At this stage he shifts into second, well he tries too, he missed the gear and dropped back a car length.
Next set of lights on a slight uphill he comes up next to me again. I had a poor launch, he pulled about a car length on me initially and was gradually pulling away through the gears to about 120km/h.
I'm sure a better driver would've wiped the floor with me though!

I have to admit, it is hard owning a sports car, and not gunning it every now and then; Even if it has a 7M-GE "boat-anchor", as described to me by one of the forum members. Still, It puts up a decent fight and is more than enough to own a VN to VS V6 Commodore, as the N/A Supra has done so at least 3 times in the past 30 days.
I have always wondered what a V8 Torana would be like in a street race, and last night I got the opportunity to verse the best of them... the SLR5000. This was no ordinary SLR, the engine sounded VERY smooth (perhaps rebuilt?) and purred like it was running high octane.
Anyway, both cars line up at a set of lights, we both were rolling at about 5km/h when the light went green, I floor it. He does the same but then eases up about 30km/h... Perhaps he realized my car didn't have that turbo whine, and decided to give me a head start .
I stay ahead of him for about 200m through slightly winding roads, but catches up to me on a left turn (Torrie has less weight and what seemed like really good brakes). from 25km/h we both floor it again, but that torquey 5.0L pulls ahead 5 car lengths by 70km/h. My crap auto gearbox goes into second and then I start to catch up over a 200m distance, but its too late.
We reach a round about where he turns left, race ending with me 2-3 car lengths behind. Top speed in the race must have been about 130km/h.
I believe that if my Supra had a bone stock 7M-GTE I would have kicked his arse. In it's current status, the car has an engine with the torque suitable for a 1000kg Honda. Not happy Jen!!!
That is all... TY.

Let me set the scene....lol
I stepped up to a Z3 which was being test drove by some dude showing another dude how quick it was (im guessing)
At green, they took off. I changed from 1 to 2 at about 25kmh, as i wasnt intending to race a Z3. The Z3 was ahead, so i fanged it to them in 2nd to a red line and caught up nearly head to head, but the Z3 left me behind after that, cos they CAN afford a flash on a street thats full of them...
All i have to say is, how much are you paying for that car mate??haha

Was out driving through the Adelaide hills, as you do, and had two fun encounters. On my way to Gorge road, via the scenic route I came up behind a new corolla. They were going fairly slow but taking the "racing line" through all the corners. I found this funny so I just drove normally staying in the correct lane. They started to go faster so I kept with them, still staying in the correct lane while he went nuts cutting corners. I don't know what this guy was on, but damn he sucked at driving!
2nd encounter goes something like this. I found genkin, simon-ae86 and mr 1ggte stopped near mt lofty so I pulled over to say hello. A few minutes later an R33 pulls up at the intersection nearby, sits around for 2 minutes then takes off past us, giving it his all in 1st and 2nd gears. Although tempted to chase him right away, I kept on talking. A little while later I left, and went down the same road the R33 did. I ended up on old norton summit road... and I see the signiture 4 tail lights from an R33. There he was, the show off! Caught up with him (too easy!) and he was SLOW. I mean, slower than the corolla! On straights that were easy and he could see far ahead, he'd accelerate as fast as he could, which was slightly faster than I could, but on corners he was slow as all hell. Pulled up next to him at the traffic lights later on and had a quick chat... he said he couldn't see anything! Pansy.
Had a good drive last night though, Marble Hill Road is REALLY fun! Very hard on the brakes though.

Given the current situation in terms of the persecution of drivers of modified cars there is no good reason for why the Toymods car club would want to have people making posts about illegal activities done on the street.
This section is for legal motorsport reults such as "I just ran 12.15 at WSID" not I just got arrested or I just beat an excel in a drag in my Deawoo, we only went 140.
If make posts about illegal activity expect it to be deleted.
Remember the police know how to use the internet as well.

did an autocross on the weekend with the new dhla's on the celica BUT i think my times were slower
getting lots of wheelspin now, having trouble getting the power to the ground. surface was very dusty and 'marble like', but gonna try lowering the rear tire pressures and maybe disconnect the rear sway bar next time. i know and lsd or locked diff will help greatly, but im gonna see what i can do with the current set up
massive dorifto might be hella fun but it aint that particularly quick
