MX83 Intake Mod Fri, 18 April 2003 07:32
Ive been meaning to get rid of the restrictive factory inlet for some time but havent had a chance to make up the plate and pipe to fit a pod filter on to the AFM, a while back I was at P&PL with Rod looking at Crummiedoors of all things and came accross a big bell mouth and mount which I thought might be handy one day ....as you do

Anyway i was giving the Cressi a once over today before a little trip and decided to pull the airfilter out and give it a tidy up and happened to see the bell mouth and mount and thought...why the hell not

And wouldnt you know it its a perfect bolt up fit, unfortunately you have to ditch the bell mouth but otherwise its the perfect adaptor for a pod intake, the diameter is only slightly smaller than the AFM square intake plate but Im sure it will still flow a damsite better than the factory unit which is the same diameter as a Holden Barina filter!!!!

anyway heres some pics of the test fit... still have to go buy a filter to suit the adaptor
