Okie doke. I'm just doing some research now. Should hopefully be in the uni break in a month or two when I finally get the 1GGTEU into the car. I know for a fact, I've had the engine sitting there for a good few months, and it was sitting at Japanese Motorsport for probably about 6 months before that. Add the time spent in Japan and you can see it has been sitting for a long time!

I'm going to replace the cam seals, the front and rear main seals as well as the timing belt.

I've been told by someone to pull the plugs out and check them for oil. They also told me to squirt a bit of oil into the sides of the cylinders and slowly turn the crank to circulate it around. Then while I'm slowly cranking it get someone to place their hand over the hole to see if they can feel the sucking on their hand.

Also, what should I be doing to check the turbos are fine?

Is there anything else I should be doing before I fire the engine up?

Any info would be great!

Thanks,
Nathan
