16" rims help Mon, 12 May 2003 11:51 Go to previous message

Hi,

I found some Volk rims and REALLY Want to buy them coz they are sooo cheap!!
The only catch is they dont fit properly.
They are 16x7, 16x8 with a 35mm offset but thats not the problem. The big problem is the center hub centre hole is too big on the wheel. I think it came off a Skyline or something??!!. The diameter of the hub is about 1.5cms too big.

Is it safe to put those circular rings to close the gap so my hub center can fill the wheels hub hole with that added ring that the wheel/tyre guys will put in?

If doing this will sacrifice strength, then i wont do it, but if its ok, please let me know..

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Cheer
DAve
