18RG tuning problems

on my 18RGU with newly rebuilt and tuned carbs, i have a miss under accel, doesn't matter what revs, i can be cruising down the h'way at 3500 rpm, if i accel a small amount it'll bog down and lose 5 k and slowly pick up speed, if i blip the throttle its cool,
dunno, maybe the fuel levels have to come up in the bowl 
if i'm cruising at 60k it'll do it, so i cant slowly accel i have to blip it and then accel
HELP
btw: the rebuild was professional
