 AE86 on Monsters Inc?

Could it be that the drawers on Monsters Inc took some styling from an AE86?? I was watching the out takes this morning and had to hit the pause button when I saw Mikeys New Car. Check out the shape of the rear of the car..in particular the rear side window!!

heh - now its ae86's in another animated film ?
will we see them next in the simpsons ????

he tries to drift his way to Moes tavern and crashes into Monty Burns's Ae86 limo ! " DOH! "
then goes off to have a fast and furious car chase thru the streets of springfield with OTTO in the schoolbus !!!

haha, looks like AE86 rear, and RX7 series 6 at the front.
Has anyone else noticed that in 'The silence of the lambs' there are a couple of sprinters in that??
From memory i remember seeing a red sedan american 86, with panda two-tone in the background while Anthony Hopkins is talking to some lady.....
and then again the same car when he pulls up at the hotel, and you get a close-up shot of it, haha...that's from memory, and a long time ago
Also in Hannibal, there is one, (i think)
ALSO i remember seeing a sprinter in the american 'COPS' that reality COP chase TV show - haha, and it was pulling away from the pigs!
