Went in to pick up the Soarer yesterday, drove it out onto the road, and it seemed to come on boost without me having to put my foot down much. ie i could hear it real early?
When it did start to rev out, it was like a dog. It was like it was hitting a flat spot or something? Kinda like surging in power...
I looked down and the Engine Check light had come on. So I drove staright back to the mechanics and he is looking at it today... I did a little searching on the net, and 'turbo surging' could be caused by the waste gate not functioning correctly, could this be it anyone? Last time the engine check light came on, it was the Air Flow Metre. I just hadn't plugged it back in, and it idled as rough as guts!
Any other ideas? We checked the timing, it was spot on, he marked the cam timing before he took it off and put it back on the exactly the same way... it idles perfectly, its just when I put my foot down to speed up to traffic. I didn't even put it down hard at all.
Any help would be greatly appreciated guys !!
