The Walbro pump i've just put in is quite noisy, I want the car as quiet as possible.

As soon as I blap the throttle the pump actually quitens up somewhat and it's not the exhaust noise dampening the noise of the pump either.

What do you guys think about running a fuel pump resistor like a MK3 fuel pump resistor which is switched in via the ECU whilst the car is cruising and idling to drop voltage and hence noise from the pump?

I was thinking about switching it in using a spare output on the Microtech activated at say 2psi.

Anyone forsee any problems?
