I'd like to create a new thread about how pissed I am at the judgemental, arrogant, hypocritical, elitist crap being said about sprinter owners. First up the whole idea of owning your own car is to use it to do what you want it to do. For some people that's circuit racing or drag or drift racing. For others they just use it as a daily commuter to get from a-b and leave it as it is. Others still use it to make their trips from a-b more enjoyable via a nice interior and stereo and to make it look what in their opinion is cool, eg big wheels, stickers etc. Now what right do you have to say that because you like circuit racing that someone with a big stereo and mags is not using their car properly?. If you don't race or drift their is no point in having the fastest car as your licence will quickly be taken away, not to mention the danger to yourself and others. So what if people like the ae86 because they saw the initial D cartoon and wanted the same thing, why isn't that reason for owning one as valid as your own? who is the great judge of what is acceptable car ownership and what isn't?. The so called ricers get just as much enjoyment crusing round with their doof doof that you do racing around in your circuit. As far as drifting not being a legitimate sport, if you wanted a race car you should have bought a r34gtr or supra turbo, the ae86 isn't famous for clocking the fastest laps. My bottom line is don't alienate car enthusiasts particularly sprinter enthusiasts because they don't have the same opinion about modifying cars as you. Cheers, Liam.
