 Just got another RA23, help needed for engine restarting and transmission swap

After looking at it in the paper for three weeks I finally went out and fell in love with an immaculate RA23. The lady who owns it didn't really want to sell it as she loves it as well, and if it was at her place said she wouldn't, its currently at her folks.

Questions are, its been sitting up on blocks for four years, so other then the obvious fluid changes etc, what will I need to do/check so it can get reg'd.
The other question is, my current RA23 is a manual, and I want to convert this new one as its currently an auto, so what will I need to look at changing. From what I've read it doesn't look like a mammoth job, but some expert opinions would be gladly appreciated.
Its not a desperate hurry, as I won't be picking it up until I've paid it off  But I made sure I put a deposit on it so she won't sell it to anyone else
