I'd like to get quicker gear changes so I can trounce Skylines by 3 car lengths instead of just 2 On the track of course!
Back to the topic - short shifters for the R154. Who has one? What's it like? Did you make it yourself? If off the shelf, what brand, cost? I've seen the TRD kit but at $700, I'd rather try alternatives.
I was thinking of having a 1 inch spacer made up to fit under the top cover on the gearbox shifter and lengthening the shift linkage by about an inch. I've got a spare gasket as a template. Anyone had the top off the R154 and know if this will work? Who should I approach in Sydney to make up the spacer if I go ahead? Anyone else interested in a allow spacer if I have one made up?
