Okay, had a look at a couple of peoples engines in pictures lately, and looking at my 1GGTEU...its pretty feral! There is a LOT of built up gunk and grease everywhere.
What I was wondering is what you guys thought I should do to clean it. I've thought about using degreaser and a toothbrush and scrubbing brush, but I was wondering if there were any other solutions.
One other thing I thought of was maybe using oven cleaner? Would this be damaging to the block or anything? Its designed to the do the job, and on a brief inspection I can't see anything wrong with it.
