Hey all,
I have 82 MkII Euro Spec Supra with a W57 in it. Due to a combination of non-stock tyres & diff ratio, my speedo & odo now reads about 10% high (yes the speedo is correctly calibrated).
Now according to my EPC I have a 11 tooth Speedo Drive Gear (33481-22020) and a 32 tooth driven gear in the tranny (33403-19255, description says 'N=32, MARK 32:11'). I have pulled the driven gear & yes it has 32 teeth.
According to Toyota I can get a 35 tooth gear (33403-19235), but the description says 'N=35, MARK 35:10'. So does that mean this 35 tooth gear is designed to mesh with a 10 tooth driving gear & will NOT mesh properly with my current 11 tooth Speedo Drive Gear?.
I really don't want to have to drop the tranny just to fix this.
Any suggestions?
