I am currently removing my instrument cluster in my AE92 Corolla SE hatch to try and put the cluster from the SX in there instead... I have removed everything i need to get access to the instrument cluster and it's housing, but after disconnecting the housing, I can only move it forward a few centimetres.
This leaves just enough room to feel a cable or two behind the cluster and the back of the speedometer, but i have no chance of disconnecting the wiring and speedo cable.
Am i doing something wrong? I have also taken the clear window off the front of the housing, but the fascia covering the instrument cluster itself is still connected, and is proving tricky to remove whilst the cluster is still connected.
I clearly need a bit more space to access the back, but how do i do this?
