I'm currently putting a 4A-GZE (with LSD gearbox) into my AE92 Corolla.

I've been looking at getting my clutch and pressure plate upgraded, and will get the flywheel surface machined whilst i'm at it, but i was wondering what the benefits of balancing the flywheel/clutch unit would be and if it is worthwhile doing.

What exactly does this 'do', and for the sake of 110 dollars, is it something that should be done whilst everything is apart ... "do it once and do it right", so to say?

I have heard some people say it's not really necessary other than for high speed racing and so forth (which i don't intend to be doing), and other people say it's good to avoid engine shudder at speed, so it would be good to hear a few more opinions.

Thanks,
Liam.
