I have a YM21 toyota liteace (1985) and the alternator just went on it. The engine is a 2Y-C. I've traded the old alternator in for another one off a 3Y (could of been 3Y-C). It's in there now and seems to work as the voltage at the battery is 14.10 volts when the engine is running. But the funny thing is the charge light is still on for some reason.
What could I do to fix it so that the charge light goes off???
Also when I had the cabin light on and revved the car I noticed the light, light up brighter and dimmed down when the engine revs were lower. Should I be conserned about this???
