hey im putting a 1gge in my ra40 and was wondering where most people put their EFI pump. is it better to be close to the surge tank and have it push through the steel lines or can you put it in the engine bay? i ask coz i dont know what you need for high pressure efi fuel line connections. I thought if you have the pump in the engine bay you would just need efi line direct from pump to fuel rail (with efi filter in between?).

also the guy i bought the lift pump i want to use was talking about putting a fuel pressure regulating type valve in the return line to the tank from the surge tank. if you adjusted it to the pump pressure of the lift tank it would stop the lift pump pumping fuel around constantly in a circle. it would also mean the surge tank would be under some pressure maybe providing a better feed to the efi pump. has anyone seen/done anything like this?

apologies for my ignorance but any advice appreciated.
