Strength of G52 box

Just wondering if anyone can vouch for the G52 gox. It's the 5 speed that sits in Hiaces and, I believe, some Hiluxes.
In particular, I am wondering if it will tolerate a 1UZFE? The wife will drive it for the most part, so it will see little abuse. It however will have to cope with some towing duties.
I do know that the bellhousing - gearbox bolt pattern is the same as a W5x box......just wondering if that is where the similarities end.
