Re-registration Proceedure in Victoria Sat, 02 August 2003 11:00 Go to previous message

Hi all.

I'm about to try to reregister a 1972 Toyota Celica in Melbourne. My understandings of the proceedures involved are pretty vague.

I believe;
- The car will require a roadworthiness certificate.
- The RWC must specify body and engine numbers for the registration record.
- I'll need to buy numberplates as well as pay registration fees.

What is actually involved in putting a car back onto the road? For example, will the car need to be physically presented to VicRoads? If so, will it be inspected in detail? Any other advice?

Thanks!
