Ran out of petrol the other day which indicates the fuel gauge isnt working, as I just noticed it sits on full all the time. Took out the float and all seems fine and just to make sure we ran new wiring down to the dash and thats no problems.
If I take the float out and move it accordingly, empty point reads empty on dash, full for full etc. As soon as I put it back in the tank and screw it in it goes back to full. Also the Fuel almost empty light which comes on when your almost out of petrol does not come on either. We resolded the loose connection but this did not do anything. The light comes on when the device on the end of the fixed arm is earthed.
Anyone got any ideas or suggestions I could try? If anyone needs more information Ill try my best.
